In recent months, Pope Benedict has embraced a Holocaust-denying bishop. Additionally, he's rejected condom-wearing Africans, claiming condoms increase the risk of AIDS on a continent with the majority of the world's AIDS deaths.
In the meantime, the Catholic wing of the Christian wrong crowd is up in arms over the University of Notre Dame's invitation to President Obama to be its commencement speaker — the ninth sitting president to get such an invite.
Is this Catholicism or the Taliban?
It's enough to make this St. Mark's, Cretin-Derham Hall and Marquette University graduate scratch his head and simply pray — Lord, please give me the strength to follow in your example of unconditional love.
