Police said Thursday that a 17-year-old driver is under investigation in connection with a fatal crash in Plymouth that killed a motorcyclist and injured the woman riding with him.

Adam C. Suhr, 26, struck a vehicle about 7:50 p.m. on June 22 at County Road 24 and N. Urbandale Lane, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.

Suhr died the next day at North Memorial Health Hospital, the medical examiner's office said.

His girlfriend riding with him, 25-year-old Allie K. Schellhammer, of New Hope, was also hurt but survived her injuries, police said.

The 17-year-old vehicle driver was not hurt. Police are withholding his identity for now given that he is a juvenile and "because he's a suspect," said Plymouth Police Department spokeswoman Karen Anderson.
