Police arrested a man they suspect of intentionally running over another man Saturday night in south Minneapolis.
The incident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. in the 2900 block of Portland Avenue S., just north of E. Lake Street, officer Corey Schmidt said.
The 37-year-old victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with serious injuries, said Schmidt, a department spokesman. He did not say what may have prompted the incident.
The suspect is a 20-year-old man from Minneapolis. He awaits charging.
"At this point," Schmidt said, "the victim appears to have been intentionally struck by the vehicle."
Authorities did not release the identities of the suspect or the victim.
