Authorities want to find a man suspected of robbing three Walgreens pharmacies in Minneapolis and Hopkins since Friday. Minneapolis police on Wednesday released surveillance video images of the man, and Crime Stoppers of Minnesota has offered a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.
The man, a white male in his 20s about 5 foot 10 with a thin build, used a handgun in two of the robberies, according to police. He appears to be unshaven or may have a lighter-colored goatee. He wore a dark hooded sweatshirt over a green T-shirt in the most recent robbery.
He's suspected of the following crimes:
• A man entered the Walgreens at 3240 W. Lake St. just after 9 a.m. Nov. 18. He robbed the pharmacist and left the store with stolen property. Police said they cannot identify the property due to the ongoing investigation. It's not uncommon for robbers to target pharmacies for painkillers.
• A man entered the Walgreens at 540 Blake Road N., Hopkins, on Nov. 20 just after 8:30 a.m. He showed the pharmacist a handgun, announced a robbery and fled with stolen property.
• A man entered the Walgreens at 2426 Hennepin Av. S. at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday He flashed a handgun, made demands and fled with stolen property.
