A 49-year-old man was walking home from work on Thursday afternoon when someone in a passing car shot him with a blow dart, according to a police report.

The victim told police that a dark-colored sedan passed him near the corner of N. Lowry and Vincent avenues about 2:27 p.m. as he was walking to his house, two blocks away.

The man suspected that someone in the car fired a dart at him, hitting him as he walked, causing a minor injury, the report said.

The victim was treated at a nearby hospital, where he recounted the bizarre episode.

The make and model of the car weren't mentioned in the report and no arrests had been announced as of Friday afternoon.
