WAUSAU, Wis. — Police are investigating vandalism at two Wausau cemeteries.

Dozens of headstones at Pine Grove and St. Joseph's cemeteries were vandalized over the weekend.

Wausau Cemetery Association President Mel Sandquist tells WSAW-TV (http://bit.ly/12s8yyF ) the vandalism seems to happen every few years, but the damage done always hits hard. He says many of the monuments are older and cannot be replaced.

Sandquist says the cemetery's insurance agency will determine how much of the damage will be covered.
