Police call Faribault deaths murder-suicide
On Sunday afternoon, Faribault police responded to a call from a citizen who saw a body in the entryway of a home in the 2500 block of Hulett Avenue.
Officers forced their way into the house and found a man lying dead on the floor. Officers also found the body of a child nearby.
The dead man was identified as Ryan Perrizo, 33, who lived in the house. A handgun was found next to his body.
"All indications … lead investigators to believe the incident was a murder-suicide," Faribault Police Chief Andy Bohlen said. "Our officers are working very diligently to determine the exact circumstances."
Perrizo and the child suffered gunshot wounds. Both bodies were sent to Hennepin County medical Center for autopsies.
