MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police say they have arrested one person for disorderly conduct during a demonstration calling for charges against a white police officer who shot and killed a black man in a downtown park in April.

Dontre Hamilton's family and supporters marched Tuesday from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to Red Arrow Park before staging the City Hall sit-in. It's unclear why the person was arrested.

Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm says he is waiting for outside reports before deciding whether to charge former Officer Christopher Manney in Hamilton's death.

The Tuesday rally came a day after Hamilton supporters demonstrated outside Chisholm's home. Marquette University students also marched on the Milwaukee County Courthouse Monday to protest a grand jury's decision not to indict a white Ferguson, Missouri, officer who killed a black 18-year-old.
