Still frustrated by the lack of engagement from U.S. Rep. Erik Paulsen and by his support of defunding Planned Parenthood, dozens of protesters — many holding pink signs backing the organization — demonstrated outside his Eden Prairie office near a strip mall Tuesday evening.

"I'd be surprised if he came out," said Jill Schaefer, of Minnetonka. "He is notoriously known for not responding to his constituents, but hopefully he starts paying attention to the growing number of people and protesters."

Paulsen did not make an appearance, and requests for comment were not returned.

The rally outside Paulsen's office was organized to show support for Planned Parenthood and oppose the GOP bill that would reshape the Affordable Care Act, and would bar Medicaid from paying for health services provided at the group's clinics.

Schaefer said she is disappointed that Paulsen is "not listening" to the "thousands and thousands of women in his district" who have concerns about their health care under the new administration.
