Carver County will begin accepting camping and picnic shelter reservations Tuesday for its 2013 summer season.
The county has seven picnic shelters and one community room that can be rented in Baylor, Lake Minnewashta and Lake Waconia regional parks. The shelters all have water and electrical service and are available May 11 through Oct. 6. The community room at Baylor is a year-round facility.
Rental rates range from $40 to $250, plus a $7 reservation fee. For information about availability and certain discount rates, call 952-466-5250 on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Camping is available at Baylor Regional Park, 2.5 miles north of Norwood Young America. Baylor has 50 campsites, including 35 with water and electrical hookups and 15 for tents or popup campers. Baylor also has a group camping site.
Camping reservations may be made online beginning Jan. 8 at www.co.carver.mn.us/parks, and must be paid in full when they are booked.
