Pick your Wisconsin poll

Three different polls find three different reactions to the uproar across the border

If you want to find some confirmation of your opinion about the uproar in Wisconsin, there's a poll for you.

Do you support Republican Gov. Scott Walker's move to curtail unions' pay and power? Rasmussen finds 48 percent agree with you and only 38 percent agree with unions.

Support unions right to collective bargaining? USA Today/Gallup Poll finds "61% would oppose a law in their state similar to one being considered in Wisconsin, compared with 33% who would favor such a law."

Note: Democrats believe Rasmussen is bias toward Republicans. Greenberg Quinlan does work for unions and Democrats.

And the USA Today/Gallup Poll? Hard to say, given that the same poll also found this:

• 71% oppose increasing sales, income or other taxes while 27% are in favor that approach.

• 53% oppose reducing pay or benefits for government workers while 44% are in favor. • 48% opposed reducing or eliminating government programs while 47% were in favor of cuts.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
