At least 1,000 people quickly snatched up tickets for a free Minneapolis rally with Sarah Palin and U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann Tuesday. The Republican Party will make more available. Tickets are available on the party's Web site at http://rally.mngop.com.

Although there will be some cost to the party for the April 7 afternoon rally, the party may well make it back at a fundraising a few hours later, featuring the two Republican stars.

According to an invitation, tickets to the money event cost $500, with prices sky rocketing to $10,000 for a "private reception with photo opportunity." The couples who shell out $10,000 also get to fill a table for ten at a dinner.

Here's a copy of the fundraiser invite and here's suggested donation list. Bachmann's re-election campaign will get the first $4,800 of any money donated from an individual. Cash gifts beyond that campaign finance limit will go to the Minnesota Republican party.
