The Teddy Bridgewater era might have started Sunday when the rookie came into the Vikings' 20-9 loss in New Orleans after Matt Cassel left because of a broken foot. Fans, however, still see the Superdome as a house of horrors since the 2009 NFC Championship Game where the Saints "stole" a victory from the Vikings and denied the franchise a shot at its first Super Bowl victory. There's something about New Orleans that always will stick in the craw of fans, all because of that title game where a beat-up Brett Favre threw a crucial interception … OK, sorry we brought it up.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
