A Hopkins real estate agent had his license revoked this month after he failed to inform the state of a recent criminal conviction, according to an order by the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Keith J. McMoore Jr., 34, was found guilty in August 2010 of two felony counts of theft by swindle of public funds. According to charges filed in 2009 in Hennepin County, McMoore participated in a scheme that diverted almost $90,000 in public assistance to himself, two county workers and at least three others. The county workers used the identities of human services clients to apply for public assistance. They sent the assistance checks to McMoore and others posing as landlords, ostensibly on behalf of tenants, the charges stated. Read the full consent order here.
