Muse at Glastonbury fest
Phish, Muse and the Eagles will headline the sold-out Austin City Limits Festival, rock's annual fall classic, set for Oct. 8-10. Nearly 150 acts will perform on eight stages over three days in Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. There are plenty of indie and alt-rock favorites, including Monsters of Folk, the Strokes, M.I.A., Vampire Weekend, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, Miike Snow, the Black Keys, Lucero and LCD Soundsystem. There are some classic names including Richard Thompson, Sonic Youth and the Flaming Lips as well as some of today's best young party bands such as Trombone Shorty and Robert Randolph. There's plenty of Texas flavor, too, with Ryan Bingham, Spoon, Robert Earl Keen and Norah Jones (yes, she's from Texas). For more info, go to www.aclfestival.com. .
