Peterson not practicing; Jefferson cleared

Winfield also not practicing. Jefferson returns from concussion.

December 13, 2012 at 8:01PM

Adrian Peterson wasn't at the portion of practice that was open to reporters today. We'll have an update after practice, but it appears the team is simply giving him some extra rest before Sunday's game at St. Louis.

Peterson was listed on yesterday's injury report as having an "abdomen" injury. He was limited in practice, but, again, that appear to be only a precaution.

Meanwhile, cornerback Antoine Winfield was wearing a baseball cap and not participating in practice during the portion open to reporters. When you're 35 and playing the way he is, you get to wear baseball hats and stand around in practice.

Cornerback A.J. Jefferson had a helmet and was participating, so he's been cleared from the concussion that he suffered on Sunday.
