A 22-year-old man was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon in Duluth, according to police.
About 2 p.m., officers responded to an area near the 500 block of E. 11th Street on a report of a shooting, according to a news release.
The shooting had taken place inside a residence. A wounded man was taken to a hospital, where he died.
A “person of interest” has been detained and police expect to have more information Wednesday morning, police said in a news release. Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are assisting in the investigation.
