Gov. Tim Pawlenty has to take action on the legislature's pension measure by midnight Saturday.

All day long, folks waited. And waited. And waited.

Silence from the governor on the bill.

Then in an email that arrived in this Hot Disher's inbox at midnight on the nose came the message:

"Governor Pawlenty has signed Chapter 359, Senate File 2918, the Omnibus Pensions Bill. The bill was signed at 11:42 pm and delivered to the Secretary of State's office at 11:49 pm."
