A pedestrian has died after being critically injured Friday evening when he was struck by a pickup truck at a Howard Lake intersection, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
A Chevrolet Silverado driven by Kent Clinton Mattson, 55, of Howard Lake, hit Richard James Jacobs, 59, of Waconia, about 6 p.m. at the intersection of Hwy. 12 and Wright County Road 6, the patrol said.
Jacobs was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he died.
Alcohol was detected on Mattson, the patrol said.
