Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, taking a page from Jimmy McMillan of the Rent is Too Damn High Party, tried out a new line Saturday at the Tea Party Patriots American Policy Summit in Phoenix.
"So here's our simple motto," Pawlenty said. 'The Government's too damn big!' Pawlenty's speech continues a trend of increasingly plainspoken pronouncements as he tours the country laying the groundwork for a possible run for the GOP presidential nomination next year. Also from Pawlenty, in keeping with the Tea Party theme of the day: "Thank you for standing up to the 'ruling class.'"
