Paula Deen's redemption tour will land in the Twin Cities next week. The TV personality, who lost sponsors and her spot on the Food Network after admitting in a legal deposition in 2013 that she had used racial slurs in the past, is fresh from a stint on TV's "Dancing With the Stars."

She will be here with her new cookbook, "Paula Deen Cuts the Fat: 250 Favorite Recipes All Lightened Up," at a Barnes and Noble bookstore in Edina on Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (3225 W. 69th St., Edina), where she will sign books.

The new cookbook includes many Southern classics reconfigured in a more health-conscious way -- peach cobbler, Savanah gumbo and mac-and-cheese, among them -- as well as new recipes that emphasize fewer calories and fat.

Deen will also appear over the weekend on Evine, the Eden-Praire-based online and cable purveyor of stuff (jewelry, fashion, electronics and food-related gear, and much more).
