I shot this buck opening day in the last hour of hunting. I was in my stand with my 13-year-old son, Austin, who enjoys sitting with me but is not yet carrying a gun. We were hunting near Ogilvie. The buck came out and chased two does around the field for a few minutes before I was able to make the shot, dropping him at about 180 yards with a .300 Winchester Short Mag. The buck was in full rut. He had 14 points and weighed about 200 pounds.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
