A 34-year-old woman was killed Sunday night and her husband severely injured in a collision with an SUV on a busy Lakeville thoroughfare, authorities said.
Sara Ward, of Richfield, was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, Clint Ward, also 34. The car was turning left into a shopping center parking lot when it was struck by the oncoming SUV, police said.
The crash occurred about 5 p.m. at W. 160th Street, just west of Cedar Avenue, according to police.
Sara Ward died at the scene; her husband was in critical condition at a local hospital. The couple have four children.
