A 21-year-old Minneapolis man was sentenced to 15 years in prison Monday for fatally stabbing a Bloomington man during a weekend party in June.

Justin Lee Dosch pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Samuel Enrique Martinez, 24, who was found lying in his driveway June 23 with a stab wound. He died at the scene. Bloomington police were called about 3:30 a.m. to the 9200 block of 5th Av. S. on a report of a stabbing.

Dosch was seen rummaging through someone else's car as the party broke up at 3 a.m. Martinez reportedly confronted Dosch and told him to leave when a verbal argument erupted between the men and several others, according to the criminal complaint. Eventually a fight broke out and Dosch was seen swinging a knife at Martinez. Martinez told others he had been stabbed before he collapsed on the driveway.

Dosch acknowledged to police that he got into a fight with Martinez and stabbed him. He surrendered to police.
