When times are tough, the arts community feels it especially hard. That means it's time to party for art's sake.
The Soo Visual Arts Center (or simply SooVAC) is one of the coolest galleries around and a big supporter of local artists who specialize in colorful eye-popping work (think Erin Currie and Jennifer Davis). On Saturday (Jan. 23), SooVAC will celebrate such awesomeness with its annual benefit party, "Get Lucky."
The event will bring together a robust mix of art, music and drinks. A silent auction will feature art by Currie, Amelia Biewald, Amy Rice, Sean Tubridy, Deuce Seven and many more. DJ Double Trouble will provide the beats.
