It should have been an evening of obnoxious fun. Oddly, though, in some ways, LMFAO was fun more than headliner Ke$ha on Tuesday at Roy Wilkins Auditorium.

Why?

As my review stated, she didn't understand how to present a show in such a large room. But LMFAO, featuring the son and grandson (uncle and nephew) of Motown founder Berry Gordy, did. They had nine dancers (some cool break dancing), an abundance of energy and a contagious spirit. Their 50-minute set had uncomplicated flow and mindless fun.

Ke$ha's 80-minute effort had pauses for costume changes, too much faux chaos and dancers who seemed more like props than performers.

Here is Ke$ha's set list:

Sleazy/ Take It Off/ He's a DJ/ Blow/ Blah Blah Blah/ Party at a Rich Dude's House/ Backstabbers/ Cannibal/ Harold Song/ Animal/ Your Love Is My Drug/ Dinosaur/ Tik Tok/ ENCORE We R Who We R/ Fight for the Right (Beastie Boys)
