Yes, Rick Adelman is back in Minnesota today (Tuesday), his second trip here in a week but his first meeting with Wolves owner Glen Taylor.

The two didn't meet in person last week when Adelman interviewed with David Kahn, Rob Moor and others. Taylor was unavailable because of a minor medical issue.

So that first meeting comes today, in Mankato I believe.

For a guy who claims not to have a horse in this race, Kevin Love couldn't help but tweet apparently about the team's search just about the time the ESPN.com story hit the web.

"Hey Coach," Love tweeted. "I can call you coach, right?"

And to that Ricky Rubio responded from Europe, "LOL! Can we?"

Perhaps soon, but maybe not as soon as anxious Wolves fans would like.

The Wolves very well could move quickly to strike a deal with Adelman if today's meeting goes well for both sides.

They also just as well could huddle up and contemplate their options -- these guys have been known to be deliberate (see the Kurt Rambis firing) -- since today's meeting essentially concludes the process of initial interviews with seven candidates.

We'll see what today brings and if Adelman again flies home to Portland like he did last week without a deal..
