Parking ramp near Vikings stadium will open Jan. 1

Work on the new parking ramp across from the U.S. Bank Stadium is just about done and it will open on Jan. 1, according to a report in the Minneapolis Business Journal.

Work on the new parking ramp across from the U.S. Bank Stadium is just about done and it will open on Jan. 1, according to Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority.

Minneapolis-based Ryan Cos. will operate the six-level structure with 1,610 spaces on behalf the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority, the government agency that is overseeing construction of stadium which will serve as the home of the Minnesota Vikings.

In addition, Ryan will take over operations of the underground parking facility with 455 spots at the Downtown East light-rail stop, said sports facility authority spokeswoman Jenn Hathaway

Denison Parking of Indianapolis will provide day-to-day management of the new ramp on 4th Street, Hathaway said.
