Shots fired Sunday night into a house on the West Side resulted in an unlikely victim.
A parakeet.
According to a St. Paul Police incident report, someone fired shots into a house on the 500 Block of Livingston Avenue around 8:15 p.m. It was one of several shots fired calls reported over the weekend in St. Paul.
Officers responding to the call said they found three rounds that were fired into the home's living room and kitchen. One of those bullets struck and killed the parakeet.
A St. Paul Police spokesman said the shooting appears to be random, and not the result of some feud or dispute. Police are continuing to investigate.
