Satellite photo speaks 10,000 words

A satellite photo of the wildfire in the BWCA shows its breadth. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration published this on Sept. 13, one day after the fire 'made an unprecedented 16-mile run to the east.

Eventually the smoke drifted over the Ukraine.
