A semitrailer truck rolled over on the ramp from Dodd Road to westbound I-494 Monday morning leading to a huge backup extending more than 8 miles into Woodbury, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said.
The truck rolled over just after 7 a.m. blocking all but one lane of the freeway in Mendota Heights.
"Expect long delays," the department said.
At 9 a.m., traffic was stacked up to near Carver Avenue. The delays were expected to remain in place until 10 a.m., MnDOT said.
Complicating matters is that westbound Hwy. 110 remains closed due to construction. That has left motorists with few alternate east-west routes in the southeast metro.
