Fishing in the Otter Tail Lake area continues to be great! Walleyes are being caught in 8 to 16 feet of water. A jig & shiner or Lindy Rig and shiner are the best combos right now.
Crappies and sunfish are going on the smaller lakes in 6 to 14 feet of water.
Bass opener is this coming weekend and they are going to be active along the weed edges in shallow water. Our area is growing in bass awareness, most think of us as walleye country - come up and check it out.
There was a tournament on Otter Tail this past weekend and the winning weight for 12 fish was 34 pounds. Beautiful fish and lots of them. Everyone brought in a nice catch and had a great time!
