Dani Roach: Stillness Arranged

To the casual eye, the world is a chaotic blur of fast-moving stuff and disorganized clutter. To the keen eye of Minneapolis-based Dani Roach that chaos is a problem to be edited into "stillness arranged," as she calls her serenely beautiful new paintings and watercolors of angled sunlight in an empty hallway, the air between a boat and dock, water under a bridge. Reduced to their essence, these are the quiet spaces in which life goes on. (Opening reception 2-5 p.m. Sat. Free. Groveland Gallery, 25 Groveland Terrace, Mpls. 612-377-7800 or grovelandgallery.com)
