Metro Transit has been looking at improving transit options on West Broadway in north Minneapolis, and Tuesday night the agency will give us an update.

An open house will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Capri Theater, 2027 West Broadway Avenue.

A study launched earlier this year by Metro Transit in concert with Hennepin County and the City of Minneapolis has been looking at the possibility of putting in a streeetcar line and/or arterial bus rapid transit (BRT) along West Broadway Avenue between Penn Avenue and downtown Minneapolis. It also has looked at potential connections to the Metro Blue Line Extension.

A video created by Bully Creative Shop and Juxtaposition Arts about transit options for the West Broadway Avenue corridor will also be premiered at the event.

The Metropolitan Council is expected to vote on recommended improvements by the end of the year.
