Did anyone else find it strange, in the CoBros new movie, "A Serious Man," when the Gopnik's scary neighbor and his son drove up with a dead buck tied to the top of the station wagon...in the middle of summer? The grass was as green as the leaves on the trees, which would put us a long way from the deer-season opener. Seems like a big lapse in the Coens' fabled exactitude.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
