Food for Justice

Benefit: Four well-known Twin Cities actors on Monday will read the play "Grand Concourse," a new work by Heidi Schreck, who is based in New York. Angela Timberman and Terry Hempleman, seen together last fall in "Annapurna" at the Jungle, will join Ivey winner Ricardo Vazquez and Ashley Rose Montondo, a frequent face at the Guthrie. The play is about four characters involved in the changing life of a New York soup kitchen, with themes of forgiveness, trust, mental illness and maintaining boundaries in relationships. The reading benefits Food for Justice, which supports Our Savior's Housing, in Minneapolis. The event is free, with an offering taken to support the organization. The reading will start after a soup dinner. (5 p.m. dinner, 6 p.m. reading, Mon.; Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 2315 Chicago Av. S., Mpls.; free, 612-871-5900.)
