Only Goodell, NFL look bad after latest Deflategate ruling

Up until Thursday, when a judge overturned Tom Brady's four-game suspension, the entire Deflategate mess was a situation in which neither side — the Patriots nor the NFL — looked good.

Now? The NFL is the only side that can make that claim.

While the Patriots and Brady appear vindicated, no matter what evidence exists, Commissioner Roger Goodell and his league once again look like an out-of-touch bunch who believe they have far more power than they really do.

The big question now is whether NFL owners will say enough is enough when it comes to Goodell.
