The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said Sunday that one person was hospitalized after a shooting involving a Brooklyn Park police officer late Saturday.
Officers responded to a large fight in the 7300 block of Lakeland Avenue N. at 11:12 p.m., the Sheriff's Office said.
After officers arrived, gunshots were fired. One person was hurt and taken to a hospital.
No other details were released.
The Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation of the incident at the request of the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
