One man's opinion: Brad Miller on Adelman

The 13-year veteran speaks on Rick Adelman and his third go-around with the coach he calls "my guy"

I spoke with new Wolves center Brad Miller by phone today from his Indiana farm/ranch while he waits for word that he can start rehabbing his surgically repaired knee in the coming days and be back on the court by January.

We also talked, of course, about Rick Adelman.

Miller played three seasons for Adelman's Sacramento team that also featured Chris Webber, Vlade Divac and Mike Bibby, was reunited with Adelman last season in Houston and now once again is back -- once the season starts, of course -- with the guy he calls his favorite NBA coach of them all.

Here's the story I wrote for Wednesday's paper.

One other thing:

It's looking like Adelman's introductory press conference here won't be until the last week of September, mostly because of scheduling conflicts.

The Wolves did little to slow a New Orleans offense driven by Zion Williamson, who put his team ahead for good with 35.5 seconds left.
