The end is near for the big puffy marshmallow on the Minneapolis skyline.

The Vikings stadium site will have a visible transformation when the Metrodome roof is deflated Saturday. The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority has not released a specific time for the deflation. But it probably will occur early in the morning -- unless high winds delay it.

It's expected that a subcontractor will tear up the Teflon-coated roof and use it on the construction site for tarps.

Workers are taking out the last blue seats in preparation for the roof coming down. If you are still interested in buying a seat, Albrecht Signs is handling the sale. You can check their website for the latest information on how to pick up a seat.
