A 65-year-old man was killed Wednesday afternoon when his motorcycle crashed with a semitrailer truck in Bloomington.
A woman who was riding on the motorcycle was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital, said Deputy Police Chief Mike Hartley.
The crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. on Baillif Place at York Avenue S. Both vehicles were heading west on Bailiff; the semi was turning south on York, Hartley said.
The semi driver stopped and is cooperating with police, he said.
Names have not been released; is was not clear whether the motorcyclists were wearing helmets.
