A Cass County woman was killed early Monday in a single vehicle crash, authorities said.
Tracy Gale was driving on County Road 8 in Gould Township when his Ford Windstar van carrying five juvenile passengers left the road around 4:48 a.m. and struck several trees. Gale, 49, of Federal Dam, Minn., was pronounced dead at the scene, said Sheriff Tom Burch.
Four of the passengers were transported to Bemidji Sanford Hospital. The fifth was taken to a hospital in Deer River and subsequently to a hospital in Duluth with a serious injury, Burch said.
The crash is still under investigation.
