OMD, aka "Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark," aka the guys who did that song in "Pretty in Pink," has an album out for the first time in 14 years. This will be good news to all the old folks who remember them fondly, and good news for people who want to discover them anew but are worried about listening to a band that has such elderly people in it. Well, don't worry; the new video mostly hide their faces, and will also appeal to theater majors who regard auditions as the most terribly important and symbolic thing human beings can do.

Probably not safe for work because it has half-naked people of various genders dancing around, but the song is called "If You Want It," and if you want it, it's on YouTube. It's the sort of midtempo mush that made the last portion of their career so boring.

There's a bonus track, though: the 1980 song "Messages" combined with Aretha Franklin. Here it is. It's not autoplay, so if you're at the office, don't worry.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
