The news of Lady Gaga's Aug. 30 stop at Xcel Energy Center on her supposedly hi-fi (gimmick-laden) "Monster Ball Tour" has been out there for weeks, but the arena just released all the ticket info today. Tickets will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster at the possibly gag-inducing prices of $177, $87 and $51.50. Man, that seems like a lot for an act who only has one and a half albums to her name and a D-list opening act (Semi-Precious Weapons). Regardless, I'm sure it will be one of the best-selling shows of the year -- although the fact that it's going on sale so far in advance could be a sign the promoters are a little worried her inflated star power might finally be waning.

This will actually be Gaga's second time at the X. She also played there in 2008 as part of KDWB's Jingle Ball, when I compared her cartoonish performance that night to a "Saturday Night Live" spoof of pre-fabricated, brainless pop stardom in the Autotune age (this was long before she was on 'SNL'). I also pointed out she really can't sing to save her life, but I now realize that's so not important in her case.
