Obama, who plans to visit Missouri on Sunday, has dispatched federal officials to the region to survey the damage. "We are here for you," Obama told survivors. "We're going to stay by you." Meanwhile, lawmakers are pushing a $1 billion aid package for the Federal Emergency Management Agency as the agency is already stretched thin by other twisters and floods one week before the hurricane season begins.
