An 82-year-old Oakdale man died Thursday morning when his car collided with another vehicle near Interstate 694 in Oakdale, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Leroy E. Widerski was driving a westbound 2012 Buick LaCrosse that was turning off 10th Street to enter southbound 694 when it hit a 2003 Nissan Coupe being driven east on 10th by Dominic J. Tilsen, 20, of St. Paul. The crash happened at 9:17 a.m.
Widerski died at the scene. Tilsen was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with noncritical injuries.
Both men were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor, the patrol said.
