February 16, 2013 at 10:57PM

River Valley Action will host a forum on national health care reform and how it will affect Minnesotans on Feb. 25 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Peter O'Neill Hall at Guardian Angels Church in Oakdale.

Two officials from the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Carol Backstrom and Trudy Ohnsorg, will explain health care exchanges and how they will function in Minnesota.

Christina Wessel, deputy director of the Minnesota Budget Project, will provide additional information. A panel discussion moderated by Julie Bunn, former state representative and health care policy analyst, will take questions from the audience.

River Valley Action will provide a list of topics that will come before the state Legislature in March.

Guardian Angels Church is at 8260 4th St. N., Oakdale.

The event is free and open to the public. River Valley Action is a group of citizens active in civic discussions. For more information, go to www.rivervalleyaction.org.
