O'Shaughnessy dance season to include Sewell Ballet, TU Dance, Katha and Ragamala

New series features four Twin Cities choreographers on opening weekend.

O'Shaughnessy auditorium at St. Kate's has been hosting dance for 25 years. To celebrate the fact, it has put together a new series for this fall to showcase work by four Twin Cities dance-makers. Called "Snapshots: Reflections of Women," the series will feature Denise Armstead, Jennifer Ilse (of Off-Leash Area), Nicholas LIncoln and Maia Maiden. Their show kicks off the 2010-11 season on Sept. 17-18 on the St. Paul campus.

Katha Dance Theatre collaborating with Ethnic Dance Theater and live musicians in an Indian retelling of
Beauty and the Beast (Oct. 29-31).

TU Dance presenting two world premieres by Uri Sands, as well as repertory favorites (Nov. 19-21).

Ragamala Dance bringing home "Yathra" ("Journey"), which it premiered at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. (March 25-27, 2011.
