Democrats of Minnesota will be roasting and toasting Tuesday night at a campaign-debt retiring event for former gubernatorial candidate Margaret Anderson Kelliher.
Attendees to event, at the Metropolitan Club at Target Field, include U.S. Sens Amy Klobuchar, Al Franken, Governor-elect Mark Dayton and likely any other DFLer with a reason to see and be seen. Suggested contributions range from $1,000 to $100.
The event is in keeping with tradition -- often triumphant pols will hold post-election fundraisers to help the party rivals they vanquished.
