Ryan Schlichte threw three TD passes and Nate Gunn rushed for 229 yards and a TD to lead Minnesota State Mankato to a 38-23 victory over host Minnesota Duluth on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (1-2), ranked No. 15 in the D2Football.com poll, led 8-0 after one quarter.

But the Mavericks (3-0), ranked No. 9, outscored the Bulldogs 31-7 in the second and third quarters to take a 31-15 lead into the fourth.

The Bulldogs pulled with 31-23 with nine minutes remaining, but Gunn's 47-yard TD run with 2:45 remaining capped the scoring.

Winona State 42, Minnesota State Moorhead 14: The Warriors improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2014 by forcing five turnovers by the visiting Dragons. The Warriors intercepted three passes — two by Nick Pridgeon — and recovered two fumbles to overcome the Dragons (1-2), who outgained the Warriors 443-368 and had a 29-15 advantage in first downs.

Darren Beenken passed for 274 yards and two touchdowns to pace the Warriors.

Augustana 30, Bemidji State 27 (OT): Redshirt freshman Ryan Bradberry's 5-yard TD run in overtime lifted the Vikings past the Beavers in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Bemidji State (1-2) had scored first in the overtime on Isaac Aanerud's 37-yard field goal. His 38-yard field goal as time expired in the fourth quarter had tied the score.

Augustana (2-1) had scored with 22 seconds left to take a 24-21 lead.

Bradberry finished with a game-high 76 yards rushing. Jordan Hein passed for 177 yards and two TDs for the Beavers.

St. Cloud State 56, Concordia (St. Paul) 21: Dwayne Lawhorn passed for 254 yards and four TDs and rushed for 73 yards and a TD to lead the Huskies past the host Golden Bears.

Lawhorn threw three TD passes in the first quarter as the Huskies opened a 21-0 lead. St. Cloud State (2-1) led 35-14 at halftime.

Gregory Lewis contributed two rushing TDs for the Huskies, who rushed for 228 yards.

Southwest Minnesota State 28, Minot State 20: Ashanti Payne rushed for 148 yards and three TDs (two in the fourth quarter) to help the Mustangs rally for the victory in Marshall, Minn.

Max Simmons rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown for the Mustangs (2-1). Payne's 4-yard TD run tied the game, 20-20, with 12:39 remaining in the fourth quarter. Skyler Crew's PAT made it 21-20.

With 2:48 left, Payne scored on a 20-yard run.

The Beavers drove to the Mustangs' 11 in the final minute, but Lucas Fisher's interception clinched the victory.

Sioux Falls 38, Mary 7: Max Mickey rushed for 150 yards and two TDs and Jason Towns also rushed for two TDs as the Cougars (3-0), ranked No. 8 in the D2Football.com poll, ran past the Marauders in Bismarck, N.D.
